


We are happy to celebrate the successful acquisition of property previously designated for development in the heart of Dennis Village! Thank you for your contribution. The negotiations required agreement of multiple interested parties, and they were very complex with many components.
The property will be conveyed in two pieces. (See map below.) The first is the vacant treed property along 6A. The second includes the land abutting the rear of the 6A parcel and extending to Hope Lane (known as the “wrap-around”). Both parcels will have a deeded Conservation Restriction in perpetuity. Also, any future development on the Seller’s remaining property will be subject to local zoning, historical and conservation restrictions..
All donor contributions and pledges are going to the purchase of the 6A lot. An additional set of donors, who were interested in the wrap-around parcel, donated to purchase this second parcel. These additional donations enabled us to negotiate a package.
The total purchase for all of the above is $1.8 million, structured as a no-interest mortgage for the over the next 2 years
Pledges will be used to make the mortgage payments, so we are counting on your pledges for 2025 and 2026 to be received on or before May 1, 2025 and May 1, 2026
